We want YOU to celebrate with us and share the joy of mathematics!
Teachers, clubs, individuals, and non-profit organizations are invited to present at the
math festival
A great opportunity to showcase your students, classroom, school or yourself.
Share a successful lesson, or a favorite topic.
Presentations include demonstrations, displays, make-and-take activies, how-to activities, games, puzzles, art, science, engineering and other integration projects.
The target audience is all members of the community, including preschools, college students, tourists and retirees. The festival is organized by local teachers and is sponsored by business sponsorships, grants and in-kind donations.
Logistical Information:
Where : Adorni Center, Eureka Waterfront
When: 12- 4:00 Set-up at 11:00
Set up: All presenters set up before 12:00 and stay until 4:00
We provide: A display table (6' to 8 feet) circle
Wireless connectivity thanks to Verizon
A small table sign for your table and listing in the "Festival Passport"
Stickers for "stamping" the Festival Passports
Support and suggestions for your presentation
Attendance: 2018- stuent from more 56 local schools check in at the festival. We estimate that more than 1000 people attended
How many presenters: The number of presenters grows every year with 50 stations and over 100 presenters in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Restrictions: Presenters must be:
- sponsored by a non-profit organization or school
- be sponsored by the Humboldt Math Festival.
Presenters may not sell food items.
Sales: Presenters may sell appropriate items. No food items may be sold by presenters.

Abacus, Accounting, Algebra, Algebra Ties, Calculators, Calculus - what is it? Computer Programs, Family Math, Fibroacci number, Finger Math, Flexagon, Fractals, Geoometry, Geometric Constructions, Golden Rectangle, Graphing, Graphing Calculators, Helping your Child with Homework, History, Mathematical Poetry, Mat in other cultures, Origami, Pascal's Triangle, Pattern, Pattern Blocks, Pentominoes, Pie. Playing Card Activities, Probability, Problem Solving, Puzzles, Pythagoras and his Theorem, Project Aims Activites, Statistics, Symmetry, Tesselllations, Topology, Trigonometry.
Funding: Some funding may be available materials and supplies.
